When they reached the den,
the lion stretched deeply
and lay down.

“When the time comes,
I will stay beside you.

You will not be alone.

Even after you are gone,
I will never forget you.”

Hearing this,
the lion looked up at Guu
with quiet happiness.

As always,
Guu began to sing:

“Guu… guu… guu…”

The lion gave a great yawn
and fell into a peaceful sleep.

It dreamed of living in harmony
with all the animals of the harbor town.

After making sure
that the lion was asleep,
Guu quietly left the den.
